Senior Vice President, REO and Special Situations
John Felletter is responsible for overseeing the real-estate-owned (REO) and high-risk assets in Arbor’s structured loan portfolio and the operations of Arbor’s Asset Management department, including risk management and reporting. He is charged with executing the company’s disposition and loan value enhancement strategies as well as managing borrower relationships.
A veteran real estate executive, Mr. Felletter has over 28 years of commercial real estate debt and equity experience. He has managed over $15.5 billion in assets, representing over $30 billion in underlying real estate. His various responsibilities have included acquisition and disposition, loan securitization and extensive exposure to troubled debt restructuring, workout and bankruptcy, in addition to oversight of portfolio monitoring, investor reporting and loan servicing.
Prior to joining Arbor in November 2008, he held several senior-level asset and portfolio management positions, most recently for Dillon Read Capital Management, a UBS-sponsored hedge fund, which had a $2.1 billion high-yield loan and equity portfolio. Before UBS/Dillon Read, Mr. Felletter held portfolio management positions at rated servicers such as Capital Trust, Phoenix Realty Securities, the J.E. Robert/ Goldman Sachs Venture and Citigroup. Prior to his corporate career, he was an officer with the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Felletter earned a M.S. in Systems Management from the University of Southern California, a B.S. in Business Administration from Central Connecticut State University and a Diploma in Real Estate Investment Analysis from New York University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) designation, as well as the Financial Risk Manager (“FRM”) certification.
